Friday Philosophy

Let's go all the way back to one of the originators of Western philosophy, the Greek Socrates (469-399 BC) for this little nugget of wisdom:

"If all misfortunes were laid in one common heap
whence everyone must take an equal portion, most
people would be contented to take their own and depart."
