
I really get a kick out of looking at really cool buildings, and there are a lot of those in Prague. These are from the St. Vitus, St. Wenceslas and St. Adalbert Cathedral inside the Castle.

As you can see, it's a very impressice structure, with all kinds of fascinating architectural touches, not to mention a wide variety of artworks and elements of interior design that go back for centuries.

Each of the stained glass windows was produced by a different notable artist. The one above, I believe, was created by the nineteenth century Czech artist Alphonse Mucha.

One of the amazing things about these medieval cathedrals is the way they channel light to create the proper solemn effect, as can be seen in the above picture.

There are also some more garish pieces, like this one commemorating some king or another; the picture does not do justice to the glistening surface of these gold and silver sculptures.
