Mother's Day Quote

This may not be the most profound quote I could find about mothers, but something about it just seems right to convey why we celebrate Mother's Day. I don't know occasion prompted this statement by Lyndon Johnson, but it's secondary to the point that comes across:

"This is a moment that I deeply wish my
parents could have lived to share. My father
would have enjoyed what you have so
generously said of me-and my mother
would have believed it."
