Saturday's Quote

George Santayana (1863-1952) was a well-known historian and philosopher most famous for the line "Those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it." But here's another quote that I think is equally profound:

"Beauty is the clearest manifestation of perfection
and the best evidence of its possibility. If
perfection is, as it should be, the ultimate
justification of being, we may understand
the ground of the moral dignity of beauty."
