Philosophy for Saturday

Mark Twain has been on my mind lately (scroll down a few posts to see why), so it seemed appropriate to give him the stage that is this blog, at least long enough to repeat this sentiment:

"Life should begin with age and its privileges
and accumulations, and end with youth and its
capacity to splendidly enjoy such advantages....
It' an epitome of life. The first half of it consists
of the capacity to enjoy without the chance. The
last half consists of the chance without the capacity."
