Some years ago Wilco hooked up with Billy Bragg to make a couple of albums of Woodie Guthrie material that had not previously been recorded. According to the story, Guthrie's family had a cache of lyrics written over many years by Woodie, but which he had never set to music (or anyway, the music was lost). Bragg, along with Jeff Tweedy, Jay Bennett and the other members of Wilco put the words to new music and produced a couple of really fine albums from the results (Mermaid Avenue and Mermaid Avenue, Vol. 2; Mermaid Ave in Brooklyn being the address of the house where Guthrie's lyrics were found).
