Back in the 1940s, there was a brief vogue for "soundies:" short films of popular singers that could be played on a kind of jukebox viewer in bars and clubs. A lot of musicians made performance or narrative versions of their hits for this market; here, Spike Jones and His Orchestra kind of have it both ways (with a bit of an assist from teh great Mel Blanc):
