Monday's Point to Ponder

Luckily Maria Mitchell's (1818-1889) parents believed that their daughter should be educated, and as a consequence, she became a prominent astronomer at a time when such fields were largely closed to women. Here's a comment from her journals that I think warrants consideration:

"We cannot take anything for granted,
beyond the first mathematical formulae.
Question everything else."
