I mean crazy in the hip sense-- that is, what follows is out of sight. It's a cool little film that was made without benefit of a camera, with the animated images hand-painted onto the film stock by the brilliant Norman McLaren (arguably the greatest Canadian filmmaker of all time). The music is courtesy of one of the all-time great boogie pianists Albert Ammons (whose son Gene was a pretty mean sax player in his own right). This must go back to the 1940s, and is a sign of the creative ways film could be employed to artistic effect (today, this kind of thing would be done quickly, by computers-- which isn't to say that can't be creative too). Anyway, enjoy:

Well, John, that was most enjoyable. I liked the boogie-woogie music. and the film made me smile. Mom
