Wednesday's Philosophical Nugget

With the publication of Silent Spring in 1962, Rachel Carson effectively launched the modern ecology movement. Here's a quote from that book that continues to deserve consideration, even more than forty years later:

"Most of us walk unseeing through the world,
unaware alike of its beauties, its wonders, and
the strange and sometimes terrible intensity
of the lives that are being lived about us."
