I don't think she's reached that age where she's trying to keep it a secret, but I think I'll err on the side of discretion and just say that my niece Marenka is celebrating a birthday today. So, in honor of that event, here's a mini-gallery of Marenka over-the-years:
At an early age, she adopted the style of the stars (with good reason).
She always knew Dad (and Mom) were there to lean on...
... and from an early age showed excellent taste in reading material (anyone recognize the book?).
She was always up for a romp in the fields (along with little brother Gerik)...
