Sunday Philosophy

Kabir was a 15th century (literally: he was born in 1400 and died in 1499) Hindu philosopher and reformer who apparently commanded the respect of Muslims and Sikhs as well. Here's something he is supposed to have said that still bears consideration today:

"Men have always looked before and after,
and rebelled against the existing order.
But for their divine discontent men would
not have been men, and there would
have been no progress in human affairs."
