The Gants

As mentioned earlier, the Gants scored the first upset in the battle of the bands competition I set up for my radio show. It occurred to me that the group is hardly a familiar name, so here's a video of the song that did in Grand Funk. I should add that the way we're playing it, the idea is for the judges to pick the song that makes the most positive immediate impression on hearing them back- to-back. This means that on another night, in another mood, things could've gone the other way. Our goal in setting it up like that is to try and replicate the "sporting" notion that on any given day anything can happen. So here are the Gants-- feel free to comment on whether you think this song is really better than "We're an American Band."
