Thursday's Quote for the Day

This passage is from Aldous Huxley's collection of essays Brave New World Revisited, and carries an implicit call to skepticism:

"The effectiveness of political and religious propaganda
depends upon the methods employed, not on the
doctrine taught. These doctrines may be true or false,
wholesome or pernicious-- it makes little or no
difference.... Under favorable conditions, practically
everybody can be converted to practically anything."
