It's been awhile since I posted a video by one of my favorite bands, the Sir Douglas Quintet. The last time, it was a clip from the mid-sixties and they were performing their first big hit, "She's About a Mover." This time, it's from a 1981 appearance on Austin City Limits, and with three fifths of the original band intact (lead singer Doug Sahm, organist Augie Meyer, and drummer Johnny Perez; they're joined by Alvin Crow and Shawn Sahm on guitars, and Speedy Sparks on bass-- I know, that's more than a quintet), they rip off a cover of a classic Kinks tune.
