Boy, these birthdays are really piling up! Today, we celebrate my niece Sara's thirteenth-- yikes! another teenager! Here are a few shots from the "early years:"

... and which comes across despite the occasional lapse in fastidious cleanliness.
Sara's always been good at holding on to friends...
... and even that time she was kidnapped by Indians, she made herself completely at home with the tribe.
From an early age, Sara knew how to straddle mountains...
... but never lost that down-to-earth nature that endears her to everyone around her.

Thanks John for making Sara's day. She served a funeral today, with Thomas and Maria. THen she has a bbq with the Youth Group at church tonight. the poor thing won't have the family day until sometime after next week as she is on a mission for a week with the Youth Group and will be gone from Sunday thru Friday. Boy they sure get busy when they get older.
ALso I have to say that I still think Helen looks like Sara did when she was younger. The first picture reminds me so much of Helen just with blue eyes and blong hair!!!
