I never thought I'd see a video for this song-- will the wonders of YouTube never cease? This is the only "rock" song I can remember my Dad claiming to like, which really impressed me back in 1968. I still get a kick out of hearing it. Four Jacks and a Jill were a South African band, which seemed pretty exotic back then, and this was their only hit in the US. Maybe it'll bring back some memories for you too:

This song always makes me remember the Dogs and Suds in Titusville and how we played it on the little juke box in our booth. Doesn't Jill resemble Amy Rigby?

You can add another song to that list of Dad's John. I was in the garage with him one day back in the 80's and Katrina and the Waves' "Walking on Sunshine" came on, Dad turned to me and said "I really like this song" and turned it up! At the time I was rather shocked because that was a song that I really liked too! I choke up every time I hear it now - LOL

I was going to add the same thing - he really liked the Walking on Sunshine song and I was equally amazed. Every time I hear it I think of him =)
