George Price was one of the all-time great New Yorker cartoonists. His crisp, angular compositions were eye-catching and usually crammed with detail. I especially liked those, like the above, that focused on large working class families, which popped up pretty regularly in his work. But sometimes he stripped things down to equally good effect (as below). Id you get a chance, check out one of the collections of his work at your local library. I think I can guarantee laughs aplenty.
