I remember when the Blues Brothers first appeared on Saturday Night, before I really knew much about the blues. You can argue that they were more a parody than an authentic representation of the music, but they got me to check out the real thing, and I doubt I was the only person affected that way. Here's the song that kicked off their debut album, which still gives me a big smile:
