A thunderstorm blew through the area this evening so I grabbed my camera and drove up to Niagara Falls, hoping that I might catch some great skies over the Falls, or at least some rain-swept sections of the park. Unfortunately, it blew over rather quickly, so my plans were somewhat thwarted, though that didn't stop me from snapping some shots. These are three that turned out okay.
You get a little sense of the unsettled skies in the above picture, but it's equally evident that the sun was already poking through.
I like the green and brown combination in this shot-- just a lonely park bench on the outskirts of the park. The Falls make for a great place to take pictures, not just because of the Falls themselves, but because of the park setting, the large numbers of visitors, the skyline across the river in Canada; I'll no doubt go back a few more times while I'm visiting the area.
