Thought for a Tuesday

Alfred Whitney Griswold (1906-1963) was the President of Yale, so maybe he has a vested interest in the point he makes below. Still, I think it's a valid position, and therefore worth sharing for your consideration:

"In the long run of history, the censor and the
inquisitor have always lost. The only sure
weapon against bad ideas is better ideas.
The source of better ideas is wisdom. The
surest path to wisdom is a liberal education."
