I've posted at least a couple other versions of this song in the past. "Hey Joe" was almost the quintessential sixties rock song, in that just about everyone seemed to record it or include it in their live repertoire. I suspect that the version by the Jimi Hendrix Experience is among the best remembered, and here they are performing it live at their breakthrough (in the US) appearance at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967:
