Big Sky Photography

As I'm sure you know, Montana is known as Big Sky Country, and it's no coincidence that sometimes things up in the sky look pretty cool. Yesterday was a good example, so I grabbed my camera and wandered over to the train yard near my house to snap off some pictures. The above shot is the view looking south out of Dillon.

This is the same view, but taken from a bit further up the track; you can see how wild the clouds appeared to be.

Last is a shot of the old bridge crossing Blacktail Deer Creek which was running pretty quick with the melt-off of the lat couple days. This is one that I think is a candidate for some painterly effects via Photoshop, so look for another version in a few days.
