Last night Bill and Rick and I drove up to Butte to have some dinner and take some pictures (I think I may have infected them with the bug). Here are a few examples shot Uptown after dark, starting with Rick hiding in the shadows on Broadway. I'll probably post some others another time.
There are a lot of cool alleys in Butte, which look particularly evocative at night. I'm not sure exactly what they ae evocative of, maybe old movies in the film noir vein.
Butte is a well known union town, in fact once referred to as the "Gibraltar of Unionism." So no surprise to see that heritage represented in mural form on Park Street.
This little guy, along with a pal, was prowling around the Transportation Memorabilia Museum. Both Rick and I caught the the significance of this particular pose.
