Friday Philosophy

John Locke (1632-1704) was one of the key thinkers of the Enlightenment, and provided much of the the intellectual rationale for what became the American Revolution. Here's another of his ideas which is worth keeping in mind:

"One unerring mark of the love of truth
is not entertaining any proposition with
greater assurance than the proofs it is
built upon will warrant."
