Toonerville Thursday

It's time once again to visit the denizens of Toonerville. This week, we feature a couple panels focusing on the toughest kid in Toonerville, Mickey (Himself) McGuire. If your a fan of Calvin and Hobbes, I think you can see a bit of the influence Fontaine Fox no doubt had on Bill Watterson.

Do boys ever fight like this any more?? I remember once around 1939 that my big brother, Charles got into a scuffle with a couple boys down on the corner of Monroe and Walnut Streets. My little brother, Francis (10 years younger than Charles) plowed into the fray with both fists flying - just like Micky (himself) McQuire. Charles was quite impressed with his little brother......Mom
