A Sunday Quote

Herodotus (484 BC-409 BC) is widely acknowledged as the father of the historical discipline. His travels and studies spanned the world then known to his society (ancient Greece), so you know his conclusions, like the following, are based on considerable evidence of their validity:

"If a man insisted always on being serious,
and never allowed himself a bit of fun and
relaxation, he would go mad or become
unstable without knowing it."
