Black and White

Here are three random photos that I took over the past year, converted to black and white. I'm not sure why, but I really like how the above shot (of the back of a service station in downtown Buffalo, across the street from the library) turned out. It just seems weirdly austere.

Number two is a shot from Bannack State Park, of a broken down wagon (or anyway, one of its wheels). I think I got the contrast just right on this one.

Third is a wintery photo of a path at a nature preserve in Clarence, NY (though I'm drawing a blank on the name of the place). Somehow this makes me think of that Robert Frost poem...
