As my eastern sojourn winds down, I'm taking every opportunity to try different soups in the hope of discovering a new favorite. The Tomato Kale Lentil soup I sampled a couple days ago won't reach that standard. It was okay, and the kale added an interesting texture to the mix, but in the end, it was just a slight variation on the lentil soups I've had before, none of which were terribly exciting (though none of them were bad either). I'll have one more shot (at Fables anyway), and with a little luck it'll be something special.

Soup Diary 100807
As my eastern sojourn winds down, I'm taking every opportunity to try different soups in the hope of discovering a new favorite. The Tomato Kale Lentil soup I sampled a couple days ago won't reach that standard. It was okay, and the kale added an interesting texture to the mix, but in the end, it was just a slight variation on the lentil soups I've had before, none of which were terribly exciting (though none of them were bad either). I'll have one more shot (at Fables anyway), and with a little luck it'll be something special.
