Soup Diary 100202
Since I haven't been having much luck with restaurant soup lately, I decided to try a new packaged variety-- though I didn't have high expectations. Luckily, Imagine Organic Sweet Pea turned out to be pretty good. On the one hand, it isn't overly seasoned, but that just means that it has a rich pea flavor, which is okay by me. Unlike most pea soups, there's no ham or pork flavor, but I might try to add either some bacon bits or ham bouillon next time just to see if that doesn't give it a little extra flair. But to be honest, it doesn't really need it. It's nice to have another decent option to go with the Organic Red Pepper I like so much, and can keep stocked on my kitchen shelf.
