The Rock and Roll Trio

All the bands participating in this week's second round matchups were upset winners in Round 1, ensuring that a couple of real longshots were going to continue to advance. The most unlikely group to remain alive is the Gants (seeded 15 in the Midwest Bracket), who squeeked by Rare Earth (10) in a split decision. They will face the Rock and Roll Trio (11), after that group vanquished the Knickerbockers (14), also in a split decision. Our guest judge this week was Tom Rosiek.

The Gants

Songs in competition this week included "Roadrunner" by the Gants against "Get Ready" by Rare Earth; and "Rock Billie Boogie" by the Trio vs. "One Track Mind" by the Knickerbockers.
