Quote of the Day

Isocrates (436-338 BC) was an Athenian orator and rhetorician, but apparently no relation to the philosopher Socrates. This comment of his-- from only 24 centuries ago-- makes a lot of sense to me:

"If you truly wish to find out what is best
for the country, you would listen more to
those who oppose you than to those who
try to please you"
