Iused to spend a lot of time wandering the streets of Manhattan back in my faraway youth. Now I can do so again, after a fashion, as the result of photographer Richard Howe's project of taking pictures of every street corner in the city (above is the northeast corner of Lexington Ave. at 49th St.). Twenty plus years on from when I lived there, most have changed, some considerably. But it's a kick to click through the series and spot a familiar spot, even all these years later. You can find the collection
here, if you want to go exploring yourself.
