In what can only be described as a quintessential "duh"
story, George W. Bush decides that his vacation (with what, 2o odd days left in his administration?) is more important than dealing with the escalating violence in Palestine. Granted, there's little good he's likely to do with regard to the situation, but doesn't his attitude convey a message (as has been the case so many times in the last eight years) that we shouldn't care about these things either? Kind of reminds one of Buchanan racing back to his farm prior to Lincoln's inaguration, as the southern states debated secession. What a putz!
