Saturday's Quote

I often think that the folks most loudly denouncing the government (as opposed to taking issue with specific policies) are mostly upset because of things that happened while they weren't paying attention. In other words, I agree with this comment from the only man to be US President twice (that is, non-consecutive terms), Grover Cleveland (1837-1908):

"A government for the people must
depend for its success on the intelligence,
the morality, the justice, and the interest
of the people themselves."
