I always like when the kids are featured in Toonerville Folks. Fontaine Fox really captures the imagination and animation of children at play. In fact, I think that Fox's young'uns are the model for Calvin in Bill Watterson's classic Calvin and Hobbes.

Maybe it's because Toonerville Trolley was the very first cartoon I can remember seeng in the Titusville Herald every morning back in the early thirties- but I do get such a kick out of seeing it here every Thursday...Mom
I guess it's "like mother, like son," since this is one of my favorite regular posts too ;-)
