Thursday's Philosophical Nugget

Courtesy of Ludwig Wittgenstein, the Austrian-British thinker who grappled a lot with the connection between language and understanding:

"Everything that can be thought of at all
can be thought of clearly.
Everything that can be said
can be said clearly....
Philosophy is a battle against the bewitchment
of our
intelligence by means of language."

Now this philosophical nugget I can understand. I have always admired people who speak and write clearly. Certainly we need to think before we speak and think (a lot) before we write. Mom
