Today's Quotation

Kudos to the thousands of state workers in Wisconsin who turned out today to stand up to their troglodyte governor (read about it here, and note the very last line). No doubt they knew the sentiment, if not the exact quote, offered here from Eugene V. Debs (1855-1926):

"If it had not been for the discontent of a few
fellows who had not been satisfied with their
conditions, you would still be living in caves.
Intelligent discontent is the mainspring of
civilization. Progress is born of agitation.
It is agitation or stagnation."
