Monday Morning Philosophy

This morning's philosophical quote comes from John Dewey, the father of progressive education and one of the major proponents of pragmatism, especially in relation to issues of morality and democracy:

"The only freedom that is of enduring importance
is freedom of intelligence, that is to say,
freedom of observation and of judgment
exercised in behalf of purposes
that are intrinsically worthwhile."
