The picture gracing the top of this blog is of the statue that stands at the edge of the lawn in front of the Basilica of San Francesca d'Assisi in Tuscany. That's the cathedral where the remains of St. Francis are buried. I don't know if the figure on the horse is intended to be Francis or not, but I think it makes for a striking image.
