Soup Diary 120707
Think of a bowl of warm tapioca-- texturally, that's exactly what the Greek Chicken & Orzo soup I had the other day was like. Luckily, it didn't taste like tapioca. Instead it was a very nice, creamy concoction with a hint of feta cheese enhancing the pasta and chunks of chicken. It was yet another winner at Fables, who seem to have returned to the ranks of reliable (if no longer spectacular) purveyors of good soup. While the current offerings don't compel me to make a special trip there, as was the case about three years ago, I've been perfectly happy to stop in lately if I'm in the neighborhood.
