Friday Philosophy

Joseph Priestley (1733-1804) was an English scientist and theologian. Based on this comment, it appears he was both insightful and kind of funny:

"As we read the school reports on our
children, we realize a sense of relief that
can rise to delight that thank Heaven
nobody is reporting in this fashion on us."
