Wednesday's Words of Wisdom

The famous American author F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896-1940) probably did not mean this as a reflection on history per se, but it works to explain why so many are willing to ignore it:

"It is sadder to find the past again and
find it inadequate to the present than it
is to have it elude you and remain forever
a harmonious conception of memory."
