Tuesday's Quotation

Walter Savage Landor (1775-1864) was an English writer and poet. Here's something he wrote in Imaginary Conversations from 1824:

"If there were no falsehoods in the world,
there would be no doubt; if there were no
doubt, there would be no inquiry; if no inquiry,
no wisdom, no knowledge, no genius."
