Philosophy for a Saturday Morning

I'm not entirely sure I'd agree with this rather cynical aphorism from the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900), but it's worth thinking about:

"All history treats almost exclusively of
wicked men who, in the course of time,
have come to be looked upon as good men.
All progress is the result of successful crime."
