Sunday's Quote

Jean Cocteau (1889-1963) was a French poet, artist, filmmaker, and a bunch of other things. So I think he'd given considerable thought to this particular point:

"Art produces ugly things which frequently
become more beautiful with time. Fashion,
on the other hand, produces beautiful things
which always become ugly with time."
